Dot is a Registered Nurse of many years entering the profession in 1965, awarded Bachelor of Applied Science, Advanced Nursing FRCNA in 1984 and eventually moved to the field of quality improvement as a Quality Manager in 1984.

Working in a variety of areas including tertiary and regional health services and is currently with the Division of General Practice in South Gippsland Victoria and small rural hospitals in the Gippsland region, managing a Limited Adverse Occurence Screening (LAOS) program. 

Dot joined AAQHC in 1990 and has regulary attended the annual conferences. She was also President of the VHQA committee for three years from 2007 to 2009.
