Membership                                                                                 

Membership is open to individuals, organisations/institutions, or consumers with an interest in or involvement in quality improvement and risk management in health care.

Membership Categories and Benefits

With membership options to suit everyone, AAQHC offers a package designed to meet the needs of individuals and organisations. The AAQHC membership year, as per the Constitution, is July 1 to June 30. If you join in the first half of the year (July to December) full membership fees are due. If you join in the second half (January to June) half membership fees are due. Members will be offered the option of paying one full years membership in advance or half yearly instalments.

There are three categories of membership available.

Standard Individual Membership ($176 incl GST per annum for a full year) and provides the following benefits:

Individual members are entitled to all membership privileges:

  • Discounted registration at the annual AAQHC conference for the financial member.
  • Individual members can become a Fellow or Associate Fellow of AAQHC. Entitled to use the post nominals AFAAQHC or FAAQHC.
  • A copy of the bi-annual AAQHC journal.
  • Monthly e-newsletter.
  • Full-text access via website password to the Journal of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
  • Participation in regular educational sessions via webinars and membership blogs.
  • One vote at the annual AGM breakfast meeting and be eligible to hold office.
  • Individual members may take their membership with them when making career moves.

Student Individual Membership ($100 incl GST per annum for a full year) and provides the following benefits:

Full time Undergraduate and Post Graduate students shall be eligible for membership at a discount rate. Such members shall be entitled to all standard individual membership privileges.

Organisational Membership ($825 incl GST per annum for a full year) and provides the following benefits:

  • Discounted registration at the annual Australasian conference for up to 10 personnel. The program is a mix of plenary and workshops involving national and international experts in quality and safety in health care.
  • 10 copies of the bi-annual AAQHC journal.
  • Full-text access via website password to the Journal of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua).
  • Monthly e-newsletters to nominated personnel.
  • One vote at the annual AGM membership meeting.
  • Participation in regular educational sessions via webinars and membership blogs.

Organisational members are NOT eligible to hold office or represent AAQHC on external bodies and committees or be entitled to apply for credentialing.

Fellow or Associate Fellow:

An Administration fee applies in addition to the annual membership fee. There is an application fee and then an annual renewal fee.

The cost for application is $77 (incl GST)

Fellow Renewal $82.50 (incl GST)

Associate Fellow Renewal $38.50 (incl GST)
