WA Health has released it's Sentinel Event Report 2010/11. The report details and discusses the main contributing factors to the 96 sentinel events that occured in Western Australia during 2010/11. The report can be accessed via the following link:

The ACSQHC have developed implementation guides for the surveillance of Staphyloccus aureus, Clostridium difficile and Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections. These guides are designed to assist health services with surveillance activities and standardise the tools used for surveillance in line with the national definitions.
